When a skin rash, chronic lesion, or unusual mole defies standard clinical diagnosis, a skin biopsy provides the definitive medical answer. A microscopic tissue sample is harvested and analyzed by specialized dermatopathologists.
Dr. Zartash Arshad performs gentle punch biopsies (2-4mm cylindrical samples) or shave biopsies under localized anesthesia. The sample is processed for routine histopathology, special stains, or direct immunofluorescence (DIF) to guide exact medical treatment.
